I specialize in speech and language therapy for children, with a focus on client- and family-centered care.

After earning my Master’s degree from the University of Kansas in 2021, I returned to the Twin Cities and began my career supporting children in an outpatient clinic setting. Through this work, I developed a strong passion for helping children build communication skills in ways that feel meaningful, supportive, and individualized.

My experience includes providing speech and language therapy in both outpatient and autism day treatment settings. I have also partnered closely with mental health practitioners, occupational therapists, early childhood educators, case managers, caregivers, and parents.

Here, your child is not just receiving speech therapy. They are being supported as a unique individual with their own strengths, interests, communication style. Partnering with you and your family, I am committed to helping your child build confidence, connection, and communication skills that support everyday life.

Education & Advanced Training

Alaina provides speech therapy that is individualized, neurodiversity-affirming, and family-centered. Sessions are designed to meet your child where they are, while helping them build practical communication skills that support daily life at home, daycare, school, and in the community. Therapy is tailored to your child’s strengths, needs, and natural communication style.

Therapy can take place in the setting that works best for your child and family, including in-home, daycare, or telehealth sessions. This flexible approach allows Alaina to support communication skills in the environments where they matter most.

Alaina partners closely with parents and caregivers to create meaningful goals and provides strategies that can be carried over into everyday routines. Using relationship-based and child-led intervention approaches, Alaina focuses on building trust, fostering connection, and increasing engagement.

Communication looks different for every child. Some children may need support with speech sounds, language development, social communication, play skills, or finding effective ways to express themselves. Others may know what they want to say but need help organizing their thoughts, initiating communication, or expressing themselves in ways others can understand. Alaina partners with families to better understand each child’s unique communication style, strengths, and needs in order to create a therapeutic approach that feels meaningful, supportive, and effective for your child and family.
